FieldOps - Mobile Field Service App
A cross-platform field-service app concept: technicians sign in, work a job list, and update their profile and notification settings, all from a native-feeling mobile interface.
The challenge
Field-service teams (fencing, repair, installation) often coordinate jobs through group texts, spreadsheets, or paper schedules. There's no simple way for a technician to see their day, confirm a job is done, or get pushed updates without calling the office.
The approach
FieldOps is a concept React Native (Expo) app that gives each technician a real daily job list, profile, and settings, backed by Supabase for auth and data. It's built to show the same pattern I'd use for a real client: a lightweight mobile client wired to a shared backend, so the office and the field see the same data.
The process
Structured as five screens, Login, Home, Jobs, Profile, and Settings, each a real interactive React component rather than a static image. Navigation between screens, job status toggles, profile editing, and settings switches are all live state, not animations layered on a screenshot.
What’s inside
- Tap-through navigation between Login
- Home
- Jobs
- Profile
- and Settings
- Job list with real tap-to-complete status toggling
- Editable profile fields and working notification/location toggles
- Built with React Native + Expo
- designed for a Supabase backend
Behind the interface
A single Expo/React Native codebase targeting iOS and Android, with Supabase handling auth, the jobs table, and technician profiles. Push notifications via Expo's push service for job assignments and schedule changes.
